I own a KSD and if you find one without any quality control problems they are good. People are just blown away by the bass played with finger and slap style. I have several high end basses of other brands but this is my main axe now. Miller basses are nice but then again the KSDs sound different...

I ordered some Sadowsky strings and tried them for slap nothing matches them. Having the right eq and compression also helps to enhance your bass. I will be ordering more again shortly.

I have just orderd three sets of their light wound strings for my J bass because I cannot get the gauges that I want here in the UK. I use DR on my other five string bass but prefer the lighter guage for my J bass for slapping. I will write a review once they have arrived.

I had a problem with my KSDvj705 the bass was not shielded properly and I was getting radio signals and within 48 hrs of it arriving the preamp failed. The preamp was replaced with a new BT circuit, the shielding done properly, pots replaced and rewired. It now has a killer sound to die for.

The KSD protos are now made in china and the quality is crap.

I have a KSDVJ705 which I got after waiting for more than seven mIonths. It picked up radio signals on 100khz and the preamp failed within 48 hrs. I phone Adam Levy, emailed him twice, text him and he has not replied. :crying:
