KSD-704 vs FENDER MARCUS MILLER J BASS

Hey guys I need some help.
I am trying to buy a 4 string bass which I am planing to use for slap playing.And I have seen some videos of the KSD and it sounds great.But is it good enough to make me change my 1st plan of buying th Fender Marcus Miller bass? Any body who has played both would be helpful.

Both Different animals, I would have the KSD, but thats me, I'm not a Fender fan.

The MM wrecks shop. I love it. I haven't tried the other one though.

i have owned both the ksd 4 and 5s and played lots of mm's. the factory ksd pre can be a bit harsh but sounds good enough. I had a sadowsky premamp in my 5 and strung with low riders. it was a slap monster. should have held on to it.

The MM has better hardware and Miller's signature. Enough to make it a better bass IMO.

I own a KSD and if you find one without any quality control problems they are good. People are just blown away by the bass played with finger and slap style. I have several high end basses of other brands but this is my main axe now. Miller basses are nice but then again the KSDs sound different and despite my other posts in here. I would definately get another KSD if I had to. Mine has an American BT circuit which was taken from a Smith who's owner wanted to swap it for something else.

I owned a MM4 and have played a KSD. Totally different animals. Necks are different as are the pre-amps. The MM4 had the best neck and lowest action I've ever played. The KSD's neck was a bit too chunky for my taste. It was also heavy (but so was my MM4).
