Not quite sure I get you there IPYF. The amp delivers 300w at 4ohms. Each cab is an 8ohm unit so together they give a 4ohm load resulting in 300w but used individually I'm getting less output (approximately 200w). at least that's my understand of how these thing work (or am I missing something)?

I've had an Epiphone EB-0 for about 6 months and really love playing it. First thing i did was put flatwounds on it and there it was. That sound! (i.e. vintage warm woody etc......) OK it's a bit of a one trick pony but if that's the sound you need, then it's happy days. I'm under no illusions...

I just bought an epiphone eb-o and was considering putting the lowest 4 strings from a 5string set on to compensate for the lack of tension as a result of the shorter scale length. Might be an option for you too?
