It all depends on what's being played. For the most part I use fingers, but some songs just sound better with a pick.

Was able to find to find a couple different nuts in all sorts of materials , but it comes back down to the size thing again. All I'm able to find in 1 3/4" are generic plastic nuts. On the other hand all of the brass and bone nuts I'm finding are 1 5/8". It's less than a centimeters...
