what kind of straps does eveyone use

I have a bunch of Ernie Ball nylon straps, but for my main gigging bass (which gets 90% playing time) I have a PRS leather strap that is extremely comfortable.

4" Italia, mostly suede straps

+1 The Italia suede straps seem to be a little thinner/lighter than the normal Italia's. I have a a few Italia's and while they are all excellent straps, the single black suede is my favorite.

I like suede. Very soft and does not slide around.

I use Moody and Skjold straps. Both are about 4 inches wide with suede underneath that helps keep the bass in place.

A levy came with one of my basses, the other levy strap was given to me. I love the width and it distributes the weight well. I can also wear my bass pretty high.

Just picked up my 1st Moody. 4" suede backing-Camel/Cream. Smells great, looks great, feels great. I may sleep with it tonight.

2-inch nylon, Ernie Ball, Levy's whatever. I've got one I've been using for 15 years now, I think i paid $5 for it. No brainer.

I've got a Comfort Strapp, a 4" suede Onori Strap, and a 4" Italia Leather Strap. I like them all but the suede Onori Strap sticks to my shoulder like glue. I love that strap!

wish i could like the comfort strapp. it was the first padded strap i tried when i started having shoulder problems. unfortunately, the seatbelt material they use to hold the rubber on is too thin and it digs into my shoulder as badly as any other 2" strap.

I use Levy's M4's and M26's to ward off hordes of ravenous lovely women, but then I woke up from that dream, and now just hang my basses on them

I find them quite 'soft' straps, not so wide though.

You might laugh at this, but I've been using a Music Go Round strap That I bought in 1997. It is made from really thick nylon. It looks as new as the day I bought it. They don't make them anymore.
