It all started from a 5 String bass neck I found online for $20. I was delighted to discover it was from a BTB 405 and after hours of research, design and construction; I am so pleased with the results!

I would buy the guitar and change the pickups after trying them. I spent hours on YouTube not having any BTBs to test locally. From what I can hear through my studio monitors, I would switch for Nordstrand pickups. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound of the Seymour Duncan Basslines...

I am a new believer. Love the playability of the BTB neck!

@shade_1313 I started with only the neck which I bought used not knowing what bass it came from. (Black 405 like yours) Then after all my research I finally built the body!
