Oooooh. Gorgeous. Thanks for that.
I am now actively looking for a new one. Just because..why not?
The 20th Ann model looks nice. I just wish they had black hardware. Gold is not really my thing.
I would buy the guitar and change the pickups after trying them.Does anyone here have any experience with the BTB845-cbl?
I am looking at one. I like it but am unsure about the BH2 Bart pups being quite dark.
Thanks in advance!View attachment 4587572
Love the Dinganez. Lol!A while ago, I found a BTB400QM with fried electronics on Reverb, on the cheap. I took a chance and have been accumulating the parts to revitalize it.
Today, it lives again.

Now, it still needs some new strings, and a complete setup, some polishing to take some scratches out, maybe some new knobs instead of these old ones I had sitting around… but it is, at last, alive and making amplified sounds again.
All the electronics except the jack, bridge grounds, and 2x9 volt connectors were stripped out, and I installed a pair of Nordstrand “Dingstrand Nordwall” pickups, along with a Dingwall 2x pickup selector and a Darkglass Tone Capsule, making this kind of a Dinganez bass. Also installed, all new tuners and a Hipshot Xtender.
Wow great deal. Not sure what model. Think I saw one of these on reverb.comView attachment 4609656
Hey folks! Does anyone know what model this is? It looks like a BTB550MP but this is most certainly not a maple top.
As you all may know, I randomly bought a Japanese BTB1005 recently and LOVE it. I have been playing only this. I then (through this great forum!) discovered they make BTB 4 stringers! So, I have been searching. I like this one. Just not sure of the model. I can't tell from the pictures whether or not it is made in Japan. I doubt it. More likely Korean.
I have read of a BTB510 with a walnut top but I can't find it in the catalogues yet.
Any help appreciated as always!
(By the way, I just bought this bass for about $275 Canadian... but without a case) That seems a pretty sweet deal to me. It looks in great shape. In the mail to me shortly!
I just got my new (used) Ibanez BTB 1605 (Deep Twilight) this past Tuesday because I needed a 5-string bass for the band that I just joined. It came in immaculate condition and set up with nice low action just to my liking. Even the intonation was spot on! I had a few hits and misses when buying used online purchases from Guitar Center, but this bass is definitely a hit. For now, it is my #2 behind my Ibanez SR2600 CBB, but the more that I play it - the more I like it. There is a slight high-pitched humming noise when I take my hands off of the strings, so I need to get the electronics shielded a little better down the road, but it is no deal breaker. (I copied my post from the 'Show me your #2' thread, because I came across this thread and thought that I'd share it here as well)
Does this club give out numbers yet? If so, I'll take one. I love my new (used) BTB!
