Thank you all for replying. Seems like the $$ is the front runner for now. I also spoke to my local luthier and he suggested that I also consider a Cort B4 since they are equipped with better hardware (Bartolini Pups, Markbass Preamp & Hipshot Tuners) than the Rockbasses. Any thoughts on this?

What bigtone23 said plus you NEED to check out the Truckfighters. They are the bomb. Gravity X is a great place to start.

Hi guys! Decided to go with the DiMarzio P+J Replacement Set. Thanks for the help! Will try a DIY rewinding for the blown pickup and post updates here once done.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply here. I went ahead and ordered the DiMarzio P+J set. Primarily due to all the good things I've heard and read about them. The clincher was the fact that the J is a noise cancelling pickup. Now begins the wait for it to ship across the globe to India...
