    Identifying old TNT115 Peavey

how can you tell if it's a black widow speaker? The model here has a red trim on the face, 15" speaker, weighs a ton. Thanks.

Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

Howdy all, Wondering how folks are getting on with reliability of their second series MB212 (or other MB combos). They tick so many boxes especially sound and weight! I have found a little in here discussing but I guess time is always the best test for reliability questions so thought it was...

    GK Mb212 second series reliable?

Hey all - any experience with these? seems the first series had fair share of problems but am wondering if anyone knows how the new series is going - great specs for $$. Played one in local shop and it sounds like it'll do what I need at half the price of the Genz Benz streamliner/Gb Neo 2x12...

    genzbenzstreamliner600 & neox212 vs aguilar tonehammer500+2xSL12

@ BassGod - never heard either of them and would need to fly to be able to @ NOahw1 - my bass is an early 80s Ibanez roadstar 850, cheap but I like it - has humbucker and single coil, humbucker split coil. I try and make it thud, I'm not a fan of treble/sharp bass sound.

    genzbenzstreamliner600 & neox212 vs aguilar tonehammer500+2xSL12

thanks lomo - sounds like good advice. TH500 seems to be described as a little more "forward?" than the streamliner from what I've read, so combo you're suggesting may be the ticket.

doing old school blues, r&B, funk and reggae. Which do you think? Can't try either before buying - living in bass gear desert. Price is similar.

    Help matching cabinet to TH500

no bergantino over these parts sadly - that one seems popular on here with this head. Had read aguilar neo wasn't as smooth as db series ... mixed reviews. Cheers. Anymore?

    Help matching cabinet to TH500

Hi, I'm about to plunge into buying bass gear for a string of gigs I have (normally guitarist). Mostly old school blues, r&B, some funky stuff, reggae. Looking light weight. I narrowed it down to orange tb500 but reliability issues have lead me to tonehammer500 as alternative. Now what about...

ashdown ABM evo500 with 2x12 little bastard cab?

oh well i think i'll play it safe and get something a bit gruntier. found a sale on the 1x15 Ashdown U.S speaker cabinet - its 500w and cheaper. Maybe that's a better option?

    Ashdown 1x15 cabinet USA model.

Hi, wondering if anyone had any experience with one of these cabs could shed some light - what drivers are in them? what do they weigh? There seems to be very little information on them online...maybe they were a dud? Cheers.

ashdown ABM evo500 with 2x12 little bastard cab?

cheers folks - have now found the enormous threads on overpowering/underpowing cab and amp combinations - some debate going on there! I'll [lay it safe I think and look for some higher handling cab. Hillbilly Dave how do you find the Abm500 for providing the old school tones?

ashdown ABM evo500 with 2x12 little bastard cab?

Thanks Drnknmstr...I believe it is a 4 ohm cabinet at 300 watts so yeah, the head would have full grunt available but it wouldn't typically be operating at any serious kind of volume - small to medium gigs playing old school blues plus a little funky stuff. Any one else - anyone used this cabinet?
