I've got a red italian version of the Phantom, but the neck is baseball. Neck dive caused me to tack a 2 pound weight on the strap! The Apollo is the peril neck, but the onboard distortion is killer. I sometimes get rf coming throughly amp.

Can anyone tell me how Jerry Scheff gets that beautiful growling tone at the beginning of the Changeling? It almost sounds like a speaker is blown. I think he played a P-bass through a Sunn 200s, but want to know for certain. Much Obliged,
