the Mosrite trio steal the show - is the '65 neck as thin as an Italian VOX?

I haven't played a VOX but the Mosrite neck is very thin. The neck has a rounded profile and is very easy to play. I've only had the 70's Mosrite for a few weeks. The neck on that one has a flatter profile. The neck heel is also 1/4" thicker than the 65 so the fingerboard sits higher off the body.

EKO BA/4 fretted fretless, Stuffed with foam and loaded with D'Armond Toaster, 23 "frets", 34" scale, extra wide neck, made in Italy,
strung with Thomastik Jazz Flats

Yamaha SG 2C 1968ish short scale strung with Hofner Flats

Fender Jazz Special MIJ, long scale with mods, badass-type bridge and tone removed, strung with Steve Harris Flats

Here's my new MIM Fender FSR Jazz bass. Took it to my first rehearsal this weekend and it cut through amazingly. Really tight and punchy, way better sounding than the ESP 6-string and Ibanez 5-string I had been using. I also used my fingers instead of a pick on all but a couple tunes, because I feel using the pick on those songs is a better choice.

I mean, playing Temptations and Johnny Cash songs on a 6 string? I felt like a dweeb.:scowl:

Thanks for the welcome and the tip. However between the Motorcycles , Ham radio, Guns and hunting gear, My bank account is already crying . Hahahahaha !

And that I understand. I've got my guns and ammo, 2 Harleys in the shed, my wifes pickup, and who knows what else.

I couldn’t pass my bass up for the price, but sold company stock to buy it. My amps I have $250 in, a couple of old Peavey TnT 100s stacked together.

No room for GAS pains.

Ok, I've been out of the game for about 20 years and decided to start playing again. Having to start over from scratch because I sold all of my stuff way back when. Here's what I've gotten over the past month.

A new Deluxe Fender Jazz

And a 1990 Alembic Distillate

It's been fun learning all over again.
