    Hello! I just procured a new MIM fender p bass used. And as I tried to play some slap riffs it sounded really bad so I tried some different settings on my amp and it still sounded bad. So the question is is if just the pickups or do I just need new strings because they are pretty grimy. Thanks...

    I absolutely love my p bass. And idk I think Gibson thunderbirds are pretty nice...

    Ibanez or Fender?

    Personally I would take a fender only reason is because I trust the company and KNOW they will sound good. It seems to me ibanez basses are pretty one track but I've only played a few so what do I know.
