like a very loud 300hz tone, it's only when I boost the 100hz frequency band though

One more quick question. If I add more speakers in parallel, the ohms of the amp decrease and the wattage output of the amp increases, but do speakers wattage rating change if the impedance is change like is a 400 watt speaker at 8 ohms still rated for 400 watts at 4 ohms or does it now change?

2 questions: 1. so it's possible to have a 100 watt amplifier powering like two 400 watt speakers, as long as the impedance is correct and clipping is avoided? 2. Isn't distortion controlling clipping? How does that clipping not cause speakers to blow?

Then how would you avoid clipping?

I'm sorry, I'm still confused wouldn't a 100 watt amp be underpowering it and cause clipping, and a 1500 watt amp be way too much?

My crate I actually got for $25 off of craigslist, it was just an amp to get going, If you adjust the eq wrong is starts to do this horrible beeping noise, and also It's plain just not loud enough to be heard over my drummer

So if I have this correct that would mean if I had a speaker rated at 500 watts @ 8 ohms and another speaker 300 watts @ 8 ohms, then I would want a amp that delivers 600 watts @ 4 ohms ?/

Now I know if you have two speakers @ 8 ohms the impedance turns into 4 ohms. But lets say you have 2 speakers rated at 300 watts rms @ 8 ohms, does that mean the speakers would also be rated at 600 watts @ 4 ohms?

I have a ibanez btb675m, it has a 35 inch scale, so I was wondering what string set I should get to play in standard as well as drop g, I'm assuming .135 on the B, but I don't know what sets will work with a 35" scale

Nevermind it was the crappy cord that came with the bass

I just got a brand new ibanez btb675m and the volume is loudest in the middle and when you hit max the volume drops lower, and help?
