$500 budget recommendations

I'm looking for a new amp it can be a combo or stack, for the right amp i might be able to put out $600 but no more. I play anything from metal to jazz, Thanks for the help

What don't you like about your Crate? That will help recommendations as well.

Do you jam or play gigs? Do you have PA support when you play live? Is weight a restriction?

Used? If so:

GK RB 700-2 and a GK Neo 410, you can get those in your budget.

If you can squeeze out a couple more bucks or get lucky get the Neo 412 and you'll be set for life.

My crate I actually got for $25 off of craigslist, it was just an amp to get going, If you adjust the eq wrong is starts to do this horrible beeping noise, and also It's plain just not loud enough to be heard over my drummer

like a very loud 300hz tone, it's only when I boost the 100hz frequency band though

I don't want to offend anybody....

But THIS is what the music - world needs! An amp that censors automatically bad playing!

Some musicians might sound like "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!"

Maybe, if you could switch the bands "beep"-tones amp by amp, some bands might be able to play at least one proper chord....
