ya its not like i dont know what im doing i just haven't dealt with getting pickups for a six string much. I've played six strings alot but never really had to buy pickups for one. I like a warm tone but not too boomy

So my luthier is walking me through the very complicated task of building a bass absolutely from scratch. The time has come to start looking for electronics and I have a problem with which pickups. Any help suggestions or advice? I'm thinking passive but i don't know much about six strings.
