When I started playing bass a friend of my dad's let me use his early to mid seventies Jazz bass. The knobs were chrome, but I seem to remember the tone knob being smaller like the plastic ones. Can anybody confirm this? I've searched for years for a set like this and am starting to think I...

I agree! I just saw Fleetwood Mac last Sunday and McVie was awesome! Steady and in a super-groove! I had no idea.

It sounds like a monster. I am looking forward to hooking it up in a gig situation. I've only stood directly in front of it, but I would imagine the sound 10 or 20 feet away would be interesting. I need to find someone with a stadium I can borrow for an hour. :D

I guess you can add me to the list. I just picked up a stack. A Sunn Coliseum 500 head, a 610 cab and a 118 cab - both silver faced. I do have a question though, how do I determine the age of it? I can post pics later, if needed.

I'm not auditioning for the band, but I received a call from someone looking for a bass player for a gig. I'm always up for making mone- I mean, playing and thought it would be fun. Then, I talked to the two main guys and it went down hill. They sounded drunk. It wouldn't normally bother me...
