Well it's finally finished. It's been a long project but I am happy with the outcome. My last hurdle is intonation :rage:. For those who have NOT tried the hipshot D two piece bridge, adjusting intonation is much harder than it should be. I had to make a 90° philips which doesn't work so well...

    Bridge hole issue!

This is my first build. The holes I drilled for the bridge were a hair too small so I glued some sand paper to a dowel and used my drill to open it up a hair. It worked a little too well and now I have unwanted play. I have some thoughts on how to fix this, but as the holes are wallered, I...

Due to being to lazy to change my bandsaw blade, I am left to figure out how to level out my peg head. Does anyone have any ideas? It tapers to the end. The nut side being the thickest. Thanks

    Bridge question - Hipshot D

I am so relieved! I have not installed mine yet and hadn't even thought about hight. I didn't really want to have to drill holes if I didn't have to. I got the 5 string. Can it sit square or does it require an angle?

    Bridge question - Hipshot D

Did anyone notice that you have to be set up for back loading before installing the tail piece? Tail blocks access to intonation adjustment. Not really a problem but it never specified on the website. Am I wrong here?

I will do just that! Thanks. Anyone tried the hipshot D style bridge yet? There are no reviews that I have found yet. Delano sonar 3 band with emg 40dc. Good match? I have no experience with active preamps

Finger board is radiused and mounted. i hadn't thought to cut the slot prior. So this shinto should save my ass? I taped up a flat file but it wobbles and makes the seat more curved than flat. I stopped before I messed it up.

No the actual slot that the nut sits in. Well mine isn't really a slot. I left a little extra rosewood at the end so I could cut my own space.
