    Low-cost DIY practice/coffeehouse tweeterless 110 [long]

Thanks to everyone who helped on this forum! Here is the TB110+ (with upgraded dimensions as talked about earlier in the thread) that I built for my friend and wedding officiant as a thank you. Top is the guts of a Sansamp VT bass and a Parts Express power amp. The cabinet is working well...

    Low-cost DIY practice/coffeehouse tweeterless 110 [long]

After a very long delay, I have finally made sound go through my TB110+ (+ because it's based on Duke's custom dimensions). It sounds good! Except I don't really have much to compare it to, just a Fender Rumble amp, the small one that comes with those amp+bass combos in Costco. I am having a...

Great, thanks. I have a 1/2 inch between where the grill cloth and the mounting surface of the speaker, so I'm hoping that's enough clearance. If not, I can run the router around and recess it a little. And I will start out with no foam. Is it correct to say that I would need to add foam only...

Hello! Finally getting back to the project. A couple questions, as a bass cab newbie: Can I yank off the front seal gasket to provide clearance for the grill cloth? Should I start out with no foam stuffing? Thanks! Bryan

A quick question, would I cause any problems if I extended the front edges of the cab out so as to accomodate a grillcloth frame? It would end up extended the port length maybe a half inch... Thanks! Bryan

Cool, thanks! I will go with those dimensions and let you know how it ends up. It'll be my first bass cab build, but I've built a 4x8 and a 1x12 cab for guitar, so we'll see how it goes. I'll follow your original instructions closely and be more aware of sealing the cabs than I was for the...

Hello All, I'm looking to build one of these bass cabs, but would like to forgo purchasing the cabinet and instead use up some of the birch plywood I have leftover from a different cabinet project, and give it a wood finish. I believe I know the external dimensions and the port dimensions...
