What price is enough for you to memorize music for a gig?

For the two bands I'm in, mostly hard rock / alt rock, memorizing is the only option. If I was in a dozen bands doing the "backline" role, I'd be all about music stands. In that position, I'd happily memorize it all if it was providing enough money to be my "job"

    NCD!! Traynor content.

yes! that's a fantastic rig. I'll second the turn-them-vertical idea. I moved the feet on both of mine for that purpose. interestingly, some of the traynor cabs like the tc112 come with both sets of feet already. Your local L&M may even give you some feet if you need em.

    Struggling with live setup

I don't have anything ground-breaking to add, but... I've found that a pair of quality neo-loaded 112 cabs or 210 cabs can handle almost any situation - be sure to check sensitivities on them if you need to produce volume. the kemper+ speaker idea is also a good one. However, the root of this...

    Traynor TC 208 Neo

nice! I've been looking for a neo 210 for over a year, one popped up about an hour away. made it happen real fast. I've got it sitting on top of my regular 210 now as a vertical array. I kinda want to use the 12 with it but... i found the 210 and 112 didn't sound great together. I *may* have to...

    Traynor TC 208 Neo

tell me more about this speaker upgrade... While I still enjoy my TC112, I've acquired the long-sought-after TC210neo and... yeah, I'm pleased.

What price is enough for you to memorize music for a gig?

without reading the whole thead (oops!) I'll toss this out there. 12 bands? props to you if you have any of it memorized. I'm in two and have considered keeping charts for at least one of them. What stops me is that both are rock groups, both require movement and excitement. (I think) I can be...

What song have you played the most in your life?

Had to give this some thought... While I've done most of the 70-to-current rock standards, I think I'm going to land with some Canaidiana and say New Orleans is sinking by the Tragically Hip. (though... most of my bands have done "my own worst enemy" too)

    Traynor TC 208 Neo

Agreed on the TC112, same weight, better power handling. much better tone. Still no clue why they discontinued that and the TC210 Neo. but when I find that one, I'll get it too.

Cover Band Advice -Taking It To The Next Level

My small-town experience won’t really compare, but for the many bands I’ve had the pleasure of being part of the above comments from Renaissance ring true. My most successful event band started as an event band only, and also included a couple members with some amount of experience in that...
