Hey guys I am surprising my dad with a bass for his B-day, I am getting it made from a local Luthier. My father has always loved Wenge necks but I don't have much experience with this wood. What body woods mix well with this as a neck wood. P.S. It is also the fingerboard wood. Thanks Guys

Lol yeah. The thing the tears me apart though is the is play in a metal and a rock band. So I am trying to find a bass that will suit both of my bands needs. I already know I am going to switch out the stock pickups for Dimarzios but it depends on witch bass.
