my 75 jazz bass is actually the lightest bass i own, my mim for a couple years ago is a brick compared to it edit: i just weighed it and it is 9lbs on the bathroom scale, id say leaning towards 8 though.

Invalid Link Removed fenders blog says its a custom shop built by Dennis Galuzka and its suppose to be a 62 american vintage jazz bass. even though it does not look like that at all
