    Oh ok. Makes sense. So, at that point, if you go 7 yrs, where's the "end point" to decide to make the change to new strings? Or does it vary to person to person?

    First post here and just ordered the Mendel sig. Can't wait. I'm a guitarist, but play bass off and on. While looking at doing a custom build, the price was close if not the same to the Mendel P bass. For the specs, can't be beat, so I went to zzsounds and did the 8 payments. So we'll see.
