I have a ray34. I wanted a Stingray, but after trying a few and the ray34, the ray34 played (IMO) better. Just felt better. I struggled with getting it as i had planned on a stingray. I maybe got a good one.

I had a old 3500 from late 80s, i have just retired. I just got a 5500 And am a little worried there may be something wrong with it. I have a P -bass with Will power pickups so quite hot output. Setting either/both preamps below 9 o'clock its kinda ok, but not as clear as my old Mosfet 3500...

Not sure what tube. Its been replaced few months back. I'll swap it out. like Burningskies says, it definitely doesnt owe me anything so im ordering a new 3500 or lh500 then take my time to repair the old girl.

Thanks for the comprehensive reply. I suspected a joint or similar as the issue only happens after its moved and a little impact maintenance resolves it. Ill open her up and Give her some TLC. Cheers
