Gratz! I think these are really good looking basses. I just never could get into playing mine. Never got tired of lookin at it though.

I love my peely plastic. IMHO it gives that bass a far superior sound, especially when it come up and flaps around on one of the strings. :p

I have to ask. Why 6 cabs? Did you want to try out all of the combinations?

I got this guy today: So far I'm really diggin' it. I want to tune it in 4ths and learn that way. But how does that bode for the first two strings? Since they'll be tuned up a half step won't they be more likely to snap? How do I get around that?

Just sharing my experience. I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt. I had similar pains ever since I started playing bass 7 years ago. When I moved up to practicing for multiple hours a day a couple of months ago it got ridiculous. I only ever experienced it in my left hand...
