I think I stop believing in expensive basses!

I needed a bass just to noodle around with and play some at church. I definitely did not want to sink a lot of money into it to play every once in a while. I've had jazz basses in the past, but sold them to help fund my GAS addiction. I went against my normal routine and I ordered a SBMM ray...

When did American P basses get so good?

I might get flamed for this because everyone likes the vintage sounds that came from the precbs days, but I think the 2008 through updated 2012 american standards (the whole line) are among the best instruments they've produced. Stupid things your bandmates have said.

"D7 doesn't sound very churchy" The song is written with a D7 but he only plays the D. This is coming from the same guy who can play a Amin7 but can't play a Amin. He also capo's the heck out of everything so he doesn't have to play an F or B.

Most Unprofessional Thing You've Done at a Show

It's cool. Besides, all you did was literally reenact what the club owner was probably going to figuratively do to you guys anyway.

    Easy songs for kids/toddlers?

CCR Bad Moon Rising DAG I'm assuming he's not even paying attention to lyrics, just wanting to hear someone play something.

    Hey from NC

hey everyone. I'm originally a guitar player who picked up the bass because we needed a bass player for our church. So far I've been tooling around with it for about a year or so. i enjoy it but I feel I don't really do the instrument justice. Granted I can stay on key and in time which is...
