    Fake DR Strings on Amazon ?

    I had a similar experience with a set of (new) DR Hi-Beams from Amazon. Steel looked a little darker & they seem 'deader' than any I've played in 25 yrs. Mine were sold through 'the Guitar Man Store.'

    I've been a DR Hi-Beam user for 25+ years and always liked their sound & feel. I just got a new set of 45-100 gauge & something seems 'different.' Less zing - less something. I had the 'E' string replaced because it seemed like a 105 but the feel still off. Anybody else notice a change?

    My issue is I don't need a fatter E string than 100 - I like the Roto 40 -95 gauge but I'm more of a DR guy- just wish they followed suit
