    GB Shuttle 9.0 crackling gain

    Hey, I've got a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 and love it, my only concern is that when I turn the gain knob, it crackles very loudly as I turn it. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Zoom G2.1u

    Hey guys, I had a Zoom B2.1u at first and didn't think it was that great sounding, then I bought a Zoom G2.1u for my guitar and tried it with my bass, and I like it a lot better than the B2. Am I the only one? Anyone else tried this? Be interested to hear your comments.

    I've also now noticed that the gain knob makes a loud audiable crackling sound when i turn it, and also if i hit the strings hard, the speaker makes a loud crackling sound. it's not the speaker cos i hooked up headphones and it still made the noise

    Thanks for the help. I'm in the UK, the amp is relatively new so would the valve really deteriorate that quickly? I often crank the preamp gain to get a nice gritty tone, could this shorten the life of the valve? Thanks
