Thanks for the tip, I've seen a video online that mentioned that you can tweak the pre amp level. Will see if I can find it.

All these tests I've done without POD in the mix.. I'm talking an old school kidney POD here too :) so no Pad switch. As I mentioned earlier I have done tests as direct Di recording and straight into the bass head, all same issue. Let's see what lowering the pickups does tomorrow.
