8" drivers with an Fs that low are usually in the 85-88dB range

15's or 18's with a low Fs are what you are looking for in a low tuned and efficient box..... which unfortunatly will be pretty big..

actually the store I spoted the sr400qm in was a new guitar center that had only been open about two months... I suspect it came out of the box in bad shape. nothing that can't be fixed but when I try out a $500+ axe with intentions to buy I expect glaring setup problems like backwards necks...

Ibanez is hit or miss. I bought a sr300 for myself because it played like a dream and was setup almost perfect.... I played on a sr400qm at the same store that had its neck bowed backwards and frets that hadn't been filed flush to the dried out fretboard
