Fuzzrocious Club - The One to Rule them All.

Couldn’t resist and got myself the new DD. Arrived today and it‘s blowing my socks off so far. Not hard at all to dial in a nice warm OD on either my P bass with flats and Ray34 with rounds. I much prefer it over the Vintage Microtubes. And my god does the sound of this thing fully cranked sound...

Fuzzrocious Club - The One to Rule them All.

Am I crazy in thinking the Patrick Hunter demo has some Death From Above-like tones a few times when the distortion was really high? Not all out, but something similar in the character. Seems like a great pedal, in any event, tempted to pick one up and see how it works compared to the Darkglass...

    Fender Flats

It was the 760M (.55-.110) that I had on before, sorry. Didn't remember there was another set in between. Don't think I've ever tried the 760FS.

    Fender Flats

Didn't bother me. The next gauge up on the LeBellas are too tight for my taste so prefer the lighter ones. The Fenders felt fine. (I'm back to the 760FLs now... just can't live without them)

SOLD Fender Classic 50’s Precision Lacquer Finish

I've got one in sunburst (in my profile pic) and honestly would like another down the road so I could have one for flats and one with rounds. The white and gold combo is gorgeous. GLWTS!

P-Bass love - is it more of a boomer thing?

This is what I'm seeing too. Maybe not specifically P-basses, but the same muted flatwound sound you would associate with them. Bands like King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Parquet Courts and The Smile (ok... Thom Yorke may as well be a boomer) come to mind. For every example, I'm sure there...

New Jaco 3LP set coming out on Black Friday RSD

Yeah, you're right! I see now it's a reissue and is up on Spotify as well. Hopefully still of interest to some people who didn't get it the first time around.

Sterling Ray34 Sparkle Basses... New for 2022... Unfortunate Situation...

I had the same truss rod issue with a Ray34 (non-sparkle) recently and Sterling is sending a new neck to the store to have it replaced under warranty. Hoping there won't be any further issues because otherwise I really like that bass.

New Jaco 3LP set coming out on Black Friday RSD

Just a heads up that the Black Friday Record Store Day releases were announced today and I figured one release might pique people's interest here: RSDBF '22 Special Release: Jaco Pastorius - Truth, Liberty & Soul - Live In NYC: The Complete 1982 NPR Jazz Alive! Recording Jaco Pastorius Truth...

The Official Sterling by Music Man Owners Club

Update: L&M confirmed they'll be contacting Sterling for a replacement. Looking forward to having one back.

The Official Sterling by Music Man Owners Club

I've had my Ray34 since May and it was set up so well straight out of the box I haven't actually needed to adjust much on it until now. Turns out the truss rod is completely inoperable, won't budge an inch. Took it to my luthier, who confirmed it's a lemon. The bass is back at Long & McQuade...

Official Mesa Boogie Subway Series Club

My D-350 is finally home and while I haven't had too much of an opportunity to fully explore its potential yet (just using the manual's recommendation of putting everything flat, volume at 1 and playing with the gain and voicing to dial in the initial tone) it definitely packs a punch. It feels...

    Ampeg V4 Noise Floor

I have a 1974 V4 and the only time I get any noise is when the spring reverb is turned up (I leave it off 99.9% of the time). The bass-specific V4Bs don't have a reverb.

Pre-order placed at my nearest Long and McQuade, looking forward to getting my hands on it!
