Mesa Subway D-350!

I think no fan? I don't see that mentioned in the specs. Maybe a marketing decision that would draw attention to the *-800 series having a fan?
Specifies convection cooled, no fan.

Unless 350 with my two GK neo 2X12s can get the volume and tone I want
I can assure you that the D-350 with two Neo 112 II's is very large sounding. Given the efficiency of the GK 12" Neo cabs I would think you'd be surprised how powerful the D-350 will sound with two 212's. Just remember to keep the load at or above 4 Ohms - and IIRC the GK Neo 212 is 8 Ohm so you should be good.

Um.... shoot over to about 5:25 in the video. That lady is getting a great "old-school" tone. Warm and fat, yet clarity for days (which is the signature of both their heads AND cabs to me).
You’re right. From about 5:00 to 5:35 sec she’s getting an old school bell like tone.

I put it on a big sound system. It sounds like my SW115 dialed fairly tight. It’s good. Round and full.

Th D-350 can produce a boatload of big bass and it can do it with volume and authority. As the video shows it is also quite capable of many voicings and some very nice tones for subtle "up the neck" and chording kinds of playing.

Other than being limited to 4 Ohm and above operation, its smaller size, lighter weight, and reduced max output, it's everything we're used to in the SW heads. And as lower max power goes, plenty of folks already run their SW heads at 4 and 8 Ohms with the impedance selector set at 2 Ohms to throttle it back a bit anyway. It's surprising how loud a well-designed 350 Watt head with good cabs can get and still leave you clean headroom.

Just ordered a D-350, should be here Monday. I've been amp shopping for like a year, just could never pull the trigger, mostly due to supply issues. 350 watts is probably all I'll ever need. I was actually fine with my Acoustic B200H sound wise, but was concerned if I ever start gigging again, it might not be reliable (or powerful enough). Now for the agonizing wait :)

This head will be as reliable as all the other Mesa SW heads. I mean this with great respect to Mesa and especially for Andy's designs, but they offer a great warranty because they design and build their gear with no expectation that they will ever have to do a warranty repair...and I like that approach!

As for powerful enough, I have been surprised at how capable it's been on many gigs where I had a back-up just in case the D-350 couldn't cut it/was in a little over its capability. I never used the back-up head even one time.

Yep both 8 ohm speakers!!
