i’ve got a Bass Driver as well and I see your level is at noon. I can’t even set it at 9 without going way above unity. Have you done anything to tame it or is mine weird?

I would look into an EHX Steel Leather. It can get pretty harsh if you turn up the effect too much, but at subtle levels, I love it. Especially with a pick.

Should just be Grover tuners like the previous poster said.

That’s a great bass for a great price though. All the Growlers were made by Gibson, but everyone on this thread obviously loves them. The ones with the toggle switches like that one are the earlier versions. I have one and I’ve had it for about 20 years now. Great bass!

I have two of the PD-7s and would contemplate a third. Mostly because I like the sound so much and they’re discontinued. But partly because they have an apparently poorly designed switch as both of the ones I have are intermittent in turning on and off. Makes sense since it’s just a tiny piece...

I used to have one and found that it made things sound a little better. But then when I would turn it off, things would sound MUCH worse. It’s one of those “don’t notice till it’s off pedals”.

If you like the DOD 250, but just dislike the low end loss, get a Boss LS-2. It will save the DOD and make all the rest of tour dirt sound better.

I constantly sing the praises of the Barbershop. It can do light overdrive and can even get “brown” if you play with the sag knob, but the setting right before it gets hairy is perfect and is an always on sound for me.

This was pre-pickup surgery. It’s an 11 hole pickup which is what I ordered. The one I got is a Metallor.
