For sale - a 2002 Squier Precision Bass Standard Special, shoreline gold. This bass has been PLAYED and it has light scratches, a noticeable ding in the front lower bout and some light dents in the skunk stripe. I also had to place some rubber underneath the P pickups because the foam padding...

Before hooking up with Fender Bailey played "JazzParts" basses for years - here he is in a trio setting in Germany 1994 with Terje Rypdal and Billy Cobham: . At the 9:30 mark the trio play one of Bailey's tunes - "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow". Unbelievably haunting.

Two other Danelectro short scale string options - D'Addario XL156, "Designed specifically for for use with the Fender Bass VI". Toss out the two skinniest strings and you've got a .044-.056-.072-.084 set. Nickel wound and a little too bright for me, but they did fit my '56 Single cut's bridge...
