    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

I have to admit to being intrigued and tempted by the bass at that "reasonable" price. But wow, is that short for a bass. On a whim, I had picked up a Glarry GW101 microbass for like $55 off ebay. After getting it set up and getting decent flats on it, it's super easy and fun to play and...

    Official Exquisite/Glarry/Burning Fire Bass Club?

Yeah, I did the same to mine...

    Best mini bass for kids?

Glarry GW101. Great little instrument (25.5" scale) once set up. And if they don't stick with it, you're out all of $60. I'm hardly a kid, but I got one as I'm a short scale fan. Liked it so much I got another one which I'll modify a bit, refinish, etc.

    NBD Glarry Kid Bass

Honestly, I don't think the noise on mine is all that objectionable. I think my Rickenbacker 4003SW is worse. Still, I may get around to shielding it someday. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but seeing it on ebay for $54, I went and ordered another one. Not sure how I rationalized it other...

    NBD Glarry Kid Bass

One night after a couple beers, I ran across these on Amazon and decided to give it a try. Got a natural one - at the time it was 45 + 30 shipping. My experiences are similar to yours - it clearly had not been set up at all, but I was expecting as much and enjoy setting instruments up to my...

Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass - how's it holding up?

I haven't done a thing to mine other than flats. It's my #1, a great bass. Makes me feel like I could sell all the rest of my basses. I won't, of course - but if I had to live with only 1 of mine, this would be it.

Gibson DC tribute bass..I got the Last New one in Oz

I have to agree. I have an '07 SG Supreme (GOTW week #1) with the flamed maple top, really pretty to look at and plays very nice but the Jr is my go to. Feels perfect and the tones are spot on. Always have to fuss with the SG and can never get the tones as much to my liking as the Jr. I had...

    Gibson DC tribute bass (discontinued?)

That's exactly what I did. But I like the one with flats so much, I never play the other one.

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Interesting. I have one, bought from Wildwood a couple years ago. They had maybe 4 at the time, I picked one of 'em. But I check their site often and don't recall seeing they got any in after that batch. But even recently SW had 4 in stock, those went away but it would let you "notify when...

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

I see Sweetwater has another 4003AC in stock. I sure can't figure out what's going on with those things, every other retailer hasn't had a new one for a year or 2, but SW keeps getting them in. I woulda thought the "limited" build of 420 would have been completed long ago.

Gibson, at least they're trying…Les Paul Junior Tribute Bass

Looks nice! I'm not against mods in any way, but I like mine so much as is, I haven't felt the need on this one - other than putting flats on it.

    Gibson SG bass...weight?

FWIW, my 2007 SG Supreme weighs 7.8 lbs, just checked it. It may be a little different than a typical SG bass though, as it has a flamed maple top instead of being all mahogany. But go on Sweetwater's site, they have SG basses in stock with actual weights listed for the instruments they have...
