Hey, I have not gotten out to try one of the Gibson SG bass guitars, how much do they weigh on average? I feel a 10+ lb is heavy, like an old Peavey...thanks, dy.

FWIW, my 2007 SG Supreme weighs 7.8 lbs, just checked it. It may be a little different than a typical SG bass though, as it has a flamed maple top instead of being all mahogany. But go on Sweetwater's site, they have SG basses in stock with actual weights listed for the instruments they have available.
