Double Bass F Simandl Book 1? need help finding an exercise

Hello,

40 some years ago my teacher had me warm up on an exercise that started on C going up major then down minor landing on F (or maybe A) and going up and down a similar way through all the keys. I can't remember what book it was out of but for some reason Simandl sounds familiar. I'd love to find that exercise again but I can't find the Simandl books locally here in San Diego. Before I blindly order one can anyone help me find that exercise? Is it in Franz Simandl New Method Book 1?

To answer your question directly, there is an exercise on page 83 in the Simandl Book 1.
I can show you the title of the exercise as it appears in the book. I’ll respect the copyright.
It lands on an F, and F major on the third line of the exercise, after C and A minor.

no, the one I'm looking for goes straight up the C major scale then comes down to the next key of A or F, thank you tho

Yes, exactly. It leads to A minor, then F in the 3rd line.

You know man, if it's scale patterns or sequences like that you don't need a book, just make up your own. Simandl's fingerings aren't necessarily the only way to skin the cat either.
