Bands First Gig : A Successful Disaster

Thanks for the kind words and advice guy, definitely a learning experience. We have our own PA and it would have only been a short trip from the venue to pick it up but it was far too late by the time we realised what the deal was. Edit: It was also my first outdoor gig and it was interesting...

Bands First Gig : A Successful Disaster

Last Saturday was my bands first gig at a somewhat popular family fun day event. It was my third gig ever but first in a few years and it's taken a couple days to be able to look back and chuckle about it. Still a relatively new project, our band jumped at the opportunity to test the waters and...

19 Volt DC Output Into 18 Volt DC Input

I'd noticed the dozen near identical products available. I imagine it's a case of being mass produced somewhere and badged differently depending on the company. That looks like just what I might be after Wasnex. My previous supply was 1500ma but the draw of the pedals currently on my board is...

19 Volt DC Output Into 18 Volt DC Input

Picture should be sorted now I hope, still getting the hang of things.

19 Volt DC Output Into 18 Volt DC Input

This is the brick in question, not a picture of mine but it's the same model. It has eight separate 9V outputs, a 12V and an 18V output. Would I be right in thinking that it must regulate the voltage sent to pedals because even if it was running on the correct 18V the 9V outputs only get 9V? It...

19 Volt DC Output Into 18 Volt DC Input

Correct, it's to a distribution brick. The new cable is also capable of supplying more than double the amps but only the amount of amps called for by the pedals will run through the cable. A search of the forums confirms that as long as the cable can safely supply enough amps it's not a problem...

19 Volt DC Output Into 18 Volt DC Input

Hi all, I don't really post here much although I've been lurking for many, many years. I'll try to make as much sense as I can as I'm not great with electrical work. I've got a pedal power supply and the original 18v output, centre negative wall plug has blown/failed. It's proven almost...

    opinions...best 410?

If only it were so easy to choose the best cab and be done with it. It depends on what you're looking for from the cabinet.

All of my f's are sharp :/

Perhaps try changing strings? Old or dud sets could possibly cause tuning issues.

    How can i stop this?!?!

Might be worth filling in the deep chip in your finish on the first pic to slow the damage. Making it nice and flush should stop anything catching on the raised edge and pulling it away. I've used CLEAR nail polish with great success, the stuff that sets like concrete. The damage is still...

    Different Pickguard Changes Tone

I always face magnetic north when im playing. It gives a much thicker fuller tone versus facing south.

    Am I Being Played?

You're being played just as much as your gear is. You're far more trusting than I am but then again I don't have the cash laying around to replace possibly thousands of dollars in stolen gear! You've gotta ask yourself if that's something you're willing to do. I also agree with what some others...

Three hours to my first ever gig and...

Totally! We managed to get the crowd going at least. It was over way too soon. We got good feedback from the crowd after so it can't have been too bad. I've never shaken that many hands in one night. Eagerly awaiting the next one.
