I tend to agree. The "Modern" channel leaves a little to be desired. I have no gripes with the tube "Vintage" channel. When I uncrated it for the first time it had a rattle to it. Found a screw loose on the outside. Problem solved, sounds great now.

Just got one. Modern channel (solid state pre-amp) is supprisingly a little weak on volume, but the Vintage channel (tube pre-amp) will blow the walls out of most places that you play. Even though the Vintage side only has 2 EQ controls too emulate the B15, I run this amp set flat and it sounds...
