Hi there, hope you guys are well. I just wanted to ask the pro's & con's of having 4ohm as opposed to 8ohm cabs ? Cheers

Would you buy a bass that you have not seen or played yet?

I have blind bought through shops and EBay. In total probably about 8 basses and only one was a let down, however you have listed two all time great guitars which in truth neither should be a disappointment but what you need to be mindful of is the Fender has a more general purpose sound...

StingRay Not Cutting It... Am I Crazy?

It totally depends on what sound you are looking for ? And what genre of music your going to be playing. I just let go of a Warwick Corvette $$ for a SBMM 35 ? Which on the face of it sounds crazy BUT MM definitely gives me that funk sound now it may only be one sound but that is what MM is.

Mate do NOT sell it ! NEVER EVER sell a bass unless it is to get something better ! As someone else said keep at it and it will grow on you, up your game so you feel justified when playing it.

Played a sterling by musicman ray 35 at GC, here is my review.

Well I bought a SBMM just today and I have to say in the shop I had my doubts, could something really be £1000 cheaper and still produce the quality ? ? ? The answer is yes guys took it home plugged it into my Markbass rig and it is right up there with the Stingray I had back in 1989.
