mine has light to minimal coating and no silks

I am usually quick on picking things up so im not worried to much and I did download gumtown's program and got it up and running and it looked very cool thxs for the welcome :D

mine are far from dead sounding - I would say there are different variations in this trial for sure

arrived today and I have to say at 1st I was a little overwhelmed with is initial complexity - after reading the owners manual some and playing around on it and playing through it I have 2 things to say ................. WOW and AMAZING ! ! looking forward to learning more of it's capabilities

2 1/2 hours on em tonight at band practice like the combination of the brightness on the high strings and meatier sound of the low strings tension and feel are good to me band mates loved the sound and set well in the mix

despite the fact that I have had flatwounds on my P Bass for almost as long as I have had it, I was not turned off by these strings at 1st play going to take me a while to unlearn my ear and hands from flatwounds but off to a good start

got mine today - replacing the Rotosound RS77LD Jazz Flatwounds on my P Bass tonight and giving them a try :bassist:

buy a used Boss ME-50B - can get for around $150, keep an eye out on here and ebay - great unit to get started with
