I tried the open mike thing. Sat there with my bass case at my feet while 10 acoustics acts did there things. Some nice stuff but not a good set up for hooking up if you're a bass man.

It was much easier old school method. In a local paper called the Trading Times there was a musicians grapevine section. One or two responses to want adds would have me in a decent band in 2 weeks max. Try that **** now! Same goes for on line dating, just as bad.
