    In Ear Monitor?

Most of the complaints I get are from my drummer. He says, "Turn that thing down. IT'S BOOMING IN MY EAR!" The rest of the band always tells me to turn it down. I've tired tilting the amp, but the sound guy usually tells me that the bass is not projecting right on the angle. The guitars are on...

    In Ear Monitor?

I have an Acoustic bass that's 200 watts. Everyone in my band/audience says the amp is too loud when I play. When I do play, I'm always standing right in front of the bass, so it's hard to hear it. Is there any equipment I can by that's in ear, so I can hear my bass?

New Bass, needs to be good for slapping

Sterling by Musicman "slaps like a sonofab...." is the quote I saw on Ernieball's website and I have to agree. It's one of the best I've heard. Take a look and it falls well under a $1000

    Sterling or Stingray

Also keep in mind that the setup and inspection is done in the US, not in Indonesia. I think I'm going to stick with the Sterling is like buying a Fender Mexican, just MII, inspected in the USA.

    Sterling or Stingray

I went though several of them, even different colors (I got the Honeyburst), they all had the same issue. But the money off I got on the whole deal, I just got the bass and will get the fretwork done soon.

    Active bass question...

I have a Schecter C-4 and noticed the battery going dead when the tone was totally flat from the bass and needed to be adjusted at the amp.

    Schecter Hellraiser 5

Great for metal. Not good for funk. Slapping in this bass isn't its thing. Deep tones...it dominates! I always get complaints to "turn down". But it's the bass that cuts though, not so much the volume.

    Sterling or Stingray

I totally agree here. I need to get my frets filed down. But since that was the only complaint I had, had to buy the bass. It played too well.

    Sterling or Stingray

I think they are a step up from the Squire line. The tone and quality of this bass is much better than a Squier. At least the Squiers I played. Plus the price point brought it to a new level ($1000 list). But I got the Sterling for 60% off of list.

Looking for a cheap bass, sincerely, newb.

I'd go with an Ibanez starter kit. If you like the bass, you can step it up from there with another Ibanez of a higher quality or a Schecter, which sounds great, and won't kill your pockets.

    Sterling or Stingray

I did a lot of research before buying my bass last month. I wasn't considering the Sterling or a Musicman, but I got the Sterling Ray 34. From my research, I can tell you that the Sterling line is basically what a Fender Mexican bass would be as opposed to buying an American made. It really...

    SBK Bass Case Issue

I just purchased the SBK Deluxe Bass Case for my new Musicman Ray 34. Before purchasing, I noticed that the bass head appears to stick up slightly above the case closing point. When the case is closed, the head seems to fit within the notch that is cut out on the top of the case. Anyone else run...
