What's in your rack for live gigs?

I have recently converted from a pedal board to a 10 space rack. The idea was to keep things simple - (1) 4x10 GK Neo cab, and a rack with the following: GK 1001RB-II head Sennheiser Wireless (1/2 rack space) Furman Power conditioner Korg Tuner What else do you guys run in your rack that is...

Neck Height Question - Can someone measure for me?

Hello Masters of the Bass World. I am building a bass and was hoping to get a measurement from someone with a jazz/precision bass. I'm looking for a measurement at the heel of the neck - the distance between the body (the wood not the pick guard) and the top of the fingerboard (the wood not...

GK 1001RB-II head or SansAmp DI for small gigs

Hi, Looking for opinions on my rig for small gigs. I have a GK 1001RB-II head with a 4x10 cab and a SansAmp Programmable DI on my pedal board. I'm curious, if I have a small gig, can I run the GK DI out directly to the PA without a cabinet connected or would I be better served by skipping...

    Stack a GK Neo 4x10 (with wheels) on a 1 x15

Ha! Perhaps... Side note: are there any device that could be put in between a high powered amp and a lower rated cabinet as a buffer? I just hate to buy two full separate rigs...

    Stack a GK Neo 4x10 (with wheels) on a 1 x15

Wow...some very interesting discussion here, and lots to think about...Thank you all. Is this when I reveal that I only wanted to stack the cabinets to reach something off of a tall shelf?

GK 1001RB-II head - which cab for really small gigs?

That was the same comment I received from GK support. Keep the volume below 9 o'clock and the 1x15 should be OK.

GK 1001RB-II head - which cab for really small gigs?

Thanks - was considering a 1x15 NEO cab...lots of contraversy over mixing cabs with my 4x10... I've been a guitarist for 26 years and a bass player for 1. So, I'm getting my head around this rig thing...lol

GK 1001RB-II head - which cab for really small gigs?

Hey Bassheads, I have a GK 1001RB-II head. I'm looking to choose a small, light, and compatible cabinet for really small gigs. (I already have a GK NEO 4x10 and it's a bit big at times, but the NEO 1x15 won't handle the power). Recommendations?

    Stack a GK Neo 4x10 (with wheels) on a 1 x15

Good looking out...If I do decide to do this, I will wait until after the Mayan calendar ends, just to be extra safe.

    Stack a GK Neo 4x10 (with wheels) on a 1 x15

Just thinking out loud here... Just went on GK's site and noticed that Flea is rolling (3) 4x10 cabs and (3) 1/15 cabs in his rig. I'm sure he's running through the PA too, and I would bet the PA has different drivers as well... hmmmm....

    Stack a GK Neo 4x10 (with wheels) on a 1 x15

Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm trying to achieve two things: 1. Have an alternate rig setup to my 4x10 that will work for smaller gigs with the same rack (head/wireless/etc.). 2. Have a secondary cabinet that will augment my main 4x10 for large gigs. One other concern is that I have...
