Star Trek Strange New Worlds bass tone

Star Trek Strange New Worlds episode 6 season 2 Lost in Translation has a Cantina scene near the end with a live band playing some cool tune, starting with the bass--what is it, synth, solid body or upright with pickup? I'm thinking real upright, sounds so good! But probably synth!

flat brands and their silk colors

Purple at tuners, not at bridge, the ball ends are plain. PS: this is my old 1962 with repaired headstock break, a true warrior axe survivor!

flat brands and their silk colors

My German Hofner Club has Green Hofner brand flats. My old 1962 Gibson EB3 I bought used has Purple Flats--maybe these are Ernie Ball (after reading this thread)?

Nice pair, SJLee I'm debating whether to install the pickguard or leave it off. Thing is, the reliced guard is glorious!

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Well Boys & Girls, I got one! And it was a surprise indeed that I got this one. I've been researching the various Hofner's models and colors and trying to decide on either an Ignition, Contemporary, or Made in Germany hollow body, and either a Black or Sunburst one. I loved the look of a...

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Some German made new 500/2 basses have a Hofner logo on the front of body., upper bout. Is this a removable sticker or a decal under the clear coat?

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Do most Hofner basses have 42 mm or 1.65 inch nut width? Is this the same for Ignition, Contemporary and Made in Germany models? So it seems just a tad bit wider than a Fender Jazz bass at 1.5 inches? Precision basses might range from 1.75 for Vintage ones to 1.63 for Modern model Ps. Does...

Thanks, Doctor. I see I made a typo is my post, I meant to say "without" neck binding!

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Question for Hofner owners: Is the current Ignition series the only way to get a bass without neck binding? I want a Club Bass, full hollow body (Made in Germany ) but without the neck binding
