I understand that I need a pedal to get what I need. Thanks though for clearing everything up! :) I'm now looking for that one pedal to give me that push. Most likely a mild overdrive. I will look into all the suggestions given!

I realize now that I might have said it a wrong, I'm not really looking for a 'dirty' sound from a pedal. What I'm going for is a more natural, heavy sound, that sounds like an amp could produce it on its own. Thanks though!

Thanks for all the replies guys!! I tried my HM 2 out on bass and I love it, on its own I find it kind of thin but I had a proco rat 2 around that I use it with ( yeah I know, better options for a rat type pedal ) together they make for some serious grindage, and this was just on my poopy...

I got a MIJ HM2 a few days ago for my guitar but I still have to try it out on bass since my bass is at my band's practice room. I like the HM2 sound and I would like to have it on bass, I am afraid tho that I will lose a lot of low end, any pedal suggestions that I can use with my HM2? Thanks!

I'm from Belgium, there are online stores that would let me return the pedal (Thomann, Bax shop,... ). But the darkglass pedals are too expensive anyway :/ I'm looking for something under 150 euros. Thanks

I've been looking into the B3K for a long time but its pretty expensive and no nearby music store is selling them so I'd have to order one to try it out.

I found a Tech 21 sansamp character VT 2 Bass at a local shop (I'm from Belgium), is it any good? I'm going to buy a pre-amp type of pedal with some dirt in it, does this pedal have enough of it and is it good for the kind of sound I'm going for? If not, I might buy an aditional distortion pedal.

I'm considering buying the B3K, but am I going to regret not buying the B7K? Should I just settle with the B3K, or spend some more and get the B7K instead?
