    Passive wiring question

Thanks for all the replies! Crater, that schematic looks like it should do the trick - even using my nice blade switch. Thanks a lot! By the way here is the bass - just in case anyone cares: Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

    Passive wiring question

Hi, I have my bass wired with a volume/tone/3-way blade switch configuration. Now the tone pot is wired in parallel with the neck pickup, hence has no effect when soloing the bridge pickup. The reason was that for soloing I wanted to flick a switch and not have to dial in the tone, too. Now I...

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

I didn't have to modify anything. Just make sure you get the Musicman tuners as those are the ones that are a direct replacement. The Fender-style ones are too big.

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

Here is my main bass - slightly modded Jag SS bass: DiMarzio Area P/J pickups Wilkinson Bridge & Tuners Custom Pickguard Gold Hardware Electronics: Volume, Tone, 3-Position T-style selector Passive Tone wired in parallel with Neck pickup. That way I can dial in a nice warm tone with the neck or...

Cool, thanks! I needed that confirmation. As my volume pot is broken anyway I now have a project for the weekend. Thanks again!

    PJ-Bass Wiring (Tele Switch)

Hi, I have a PJ-Bass that I wired with a Volume/Tone/3-way-Tele switch. I really like that setup, except there is one improvement I have been thinking of for a while now. I would like the position in which just the bridge pickup is selected not to be affected/bypass the tone pot. Could I wire...

    3-Way pickup selector + series/parallel push/pull

Maybe my first post wasn't 100% clear. I want the push/pull DPDT to do the switching, while retaining the Teleswitch for basic pickup switching. So while the Teleswitch is on both pickups the push/pull switches between series/parallel. OR: When in series it bypasses the Tele switch, when in...

    3-Way pickup selector + series/parallel push/pull

Hi, I currently have the following setup: Two 4-conductor pickups. Neck PU is wired in series, bridge goes into push/pull and can be either series or parallel. They then go into a 3-way Tele switch, volume and tone. Now I am thinking of using the push/pull for putting both pickups in series or...

    3-way pickup selector + series/parallel switch

Hi everyone, I've spent a good portion of the day trying to find/figure out how to wire up my new pickups in my jazz bass. What I want doesn't sound too complicated I think... :-) Master Volume, Master Tone, 3-way pickup selector. So far so good. Now in addition I want a series/parallel...

    Favorite PJ bass wiring

Hi, I have a hard time deciding on the wiring for my PJ bass project. After reading this thread I discarded a couple of the ideas that I had. Now this seems to be what I want to do: VVT with 3x push/pull. The first puts the P pup in series, the second puts both pups in series, the third...

    rewiring squier vm jazz

Hi everyone, I have a stock Squier VM jazz and I want to replace the electronics with a different setup. I would like to stick with the stock pickups as I like the sound. Here is what I want to do: Single Volume Single Tone Blend 4 or 5 way switch The switch would be as follows: 1...
