    Behringer BX3000T Review

I have the BX3000T head.Really like it. It does a great job. I have a question. One band I'm in supplies all the gear and amps. The bass amp is a Peavey TK65. It's old and getting older. The EQ pots have dead spots. Here's the question. Can I use the BX3000T and run it from "Line Out" to "Line...

    How Important Are Scales?

Scales ... Really good to know. 1st, playing scales is good for warming up and getting stronger and faster. 2nd, will help your sight reading a lot. 3rd, depends on the type of music you want to play. Swing, Jazz, classic rock, you need to know difference between a Major and Minor chord. The...

Have you ever been embarrassed because of an instrument a bandmate is playing?

My first Bass was a Domino (Hollow violin shape, 2 pickups) with 2 different sets of tuners. Got it for 8th grade Christmas. I played it through High school and half way through College. I was playing High School Proms and in local bars when I was 16. The bass was a POS but I could play it. Made...

Make hollow body sound like solid body?

I have a EKO hollow body fretless. I played in a Buddy Holly cover band and got the bass to sound real close to an upright. Right Hand position makes a difference. Try the Right hand on the neck and try it close to bridge.

Is there any reason to have a 6+ string Bass if you don't play chords

For those who read, Besides chords, Playing Classical Music on a 6 string is much easier and more fun. Get a Intermediate Trombone book. Beginner readers, get a Beginning Trombone book. Great for exercises and picking up speed. Plus, It's not the same as the 100s of Bass Books.
