How often do you find you have to do this?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll probably try adding a gym mat tile or two, just for good measure. First of all, I don't practice a ton anymore. Second, my downstairs neighbor has never said anything, plus they play their TV loud enough for me to almost make out the words of the speakers...

Hmm, yep, I guess I'd need to bolt the board to the mat? Otherwise it'd slip. Since I don't have a saw handy, what household wooden object might be a good size, without any sawing required? I'm drawing a blank right now.

I've used the stovetop before (in a double broiler) for trying to rejuvenate rosin, but never had great success. For Carlsson, which comes in a foil tin, would the foil need to be removed before heating? Obviously the answer is yes if using a microwave, so how would you go about microwaving...

Thanks for the link, but I'm asking about who sells the freshest Carlsson. As a side note, I ruined an old cake of Pops doing the alcohol technique, but I might have used too much alcohol. The link says to use a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water, right?

I've bought from Gollihur and Lemur. Gollihur seemed to last a while (about a year?) before starting to harden. The Lemur cake was kind of hard when I received it. I don't use it very much as a result. So what's the best place to buy the freshest Carlsson?

Well dang, it never occurred to me the amp itself could have been defective. Like I said, it sounded so good with the bass guitar, and the long, sustained DB notes sounded warm and fat. I now remember that amp had some scratchiness with a couple of the pots that I never had repaired, so maybe...

I'm definitely in the minority here, but my experience with the Woods I bought in the 90s was disappointing. I bought the basic 100W model (can't remember but I think it was 2-channel) for I think about $1000. For my upright, it had a beautiful tone on sustained notes, BUT with my Fishman BP-100...
