    I've never found the SR necks that thin, the 4 & 5 versions are narrow but not thin, 6 isn't narrow or thin.

    Mine had the same issue with the G tuner, not a big deal but it's gone now anyway ( couldn't deal with the pickups & neck dive ) but I see these have gone up in price again, paid £364 for mine which was a bargin but now they're up to £455.

    4 string I like 7.25" / 1.75" , with a 5 string I really like the LTD necks 15.74" / 1.85"

    I bought my B-1005 without playing it, bought it more based on the specs rather than looks, extremely happy with it.

    :rolleyes: I'm saying playing in a jazz club or church isn't going to inflict the same amount of wear & tear on a bass.

    I wouldn't gig a 15k bass for the gigs we do, I'd hate to see it getting all the wear & tear my basses get, it would be different if it was jazz or church music. Nobodies going to steal me or knock me over or spill beer on me (well maybe the last one).

    It's thicker than a Stingray but I never found it an issue, if anything I found the SH more comfortable to play.
