I'd love to see you try that on my car whilst i'm blasting machine head. The great thing about old Fords is they are indestructible. As for kids, they seem to be quiet and get scared at first sight of me, even if i'm not looking back at them, as do most adults and young teenagers.

You're right, plastic against the strings creates a ticking noise on your tracks. Playing with your fingers prevents this. That would be the only difference regarding sound.

Ever heard of turn up the mids and treble and pluck more viciously and it sounds the same with your fingers as it does normally with a pick?
